The SWWA website provides a World Wide Web presence on the internet for the Saskatchewan Water and Wastewater Association.
The website is updated regularly. All information is approved by the SWWA before publication to the website.
You can review the SWWA Internet Privacy Policy at www.swwa.ca/pages/privacy_policy.shtml.
The web pages are designed to appear properly with the latest versions of the most popular browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Chrome, etc.) The pages are compliant with the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) guidelines for web standards.
A plain old text editor (like Notepad) is used to create the HTML code (Hypertext Markup Language) that displays the web pages. Needless to say, sometimes this can be a frustrating process, because there is no “What You See Is What You Get” (WYSIWYG) feature. Instead, the pages are tested using a personal web server, and viewed on various browsers and operating systems before being uploaded to the actual website.
Cascading style sheets (CSS) are used to format the pages, and the CSS is compliant with the W3C's guidelines. It should be noted, however, that not all web browsers fully implement CSS, or display the content in the same manner. The pages may appear slightly different depending on your choice of web browser.
The SWWA website is maintained by Web Bandit. You can contact
us by email at webmaster@swwa.ca if there are any
problems with the SWWA web site.
We use only open source software including:
At the present time, SWWA does not offer these features to it’s members.
If there are sufficient requests, the ability to implement the feature(s) may be considered.
