The Town of Hudson Bay is currently accepting applications for the position of Director of Public Works. Reporting directly to the Chief Administrative Officer, this senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of the Town’s infrastructure, utility systems, and related equipment. The Director is also accountable for managing department staff and preparing and monitoring the annual Public Works budget. Key Responsibilities: • Supervision, training, and development of Public Works staff • Operation and maintenance of municipal infrastructure, water/wastewater systems, and related equipment • Road and utility construction, maintenance, and repair • Cemetery operations and facility management • Budget planning and financial oversight for the department Qualifications: • Experience and/or training in: o Leadership skills o Human resource and staff management o Equipment operation and maintenance o Road repair and maintenance o Water and sewer system construction and maintenance o Water treatment and distribution o Wastewater collection and treatment • Certification in Water Treatment, Water Distribution, Wastewater Collection, and Wastewater Treatment is an asset • Willingness to obtain and maintain required certifications Current starting salary is $72,836.00 but subject to change based on experience, qualifications, and certifications. Position Overview:

The City of Prince Albert is now accepting applications for the Permanent position of Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator in the Public Works Department.

The wastewater treatment plant operator is responsible for the operation of all Wastewater Treatment Facilities and sewage pumping stations to maintain the operational permit requirements to protect all downstream users and the aquatic life in the North Saskatchewan River.

Reporting to the Out-of-Scope Manager or designate, employees in this classification perform the duties without close supervision according to procedures defined by management and in accordance with government regulation

Required Qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary Diploma in a relevant science or engineering discipline
  • Current Class 2 Certification in Wastewater Treatment
  • A combination education and requisite skills, experience and training may be considered.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
